About Our Community

The United States Census Bureau is a principal agency of the U.S Federal Statistical System, responsible for producing data about the American people and economy. The American Community Survey helps local officials, community leaders, and businesses under the changed taking place in their communities.

U.S. Census population data is acquired and updated by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA). Other demographic information and studies are available through the Planning Department of the Town of Telluride.

You can contact a planner by calling (970) 728-2170 Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm MST.

The Colorado Department of Local Affairs has detailed demographics information on their website. One other useful site for regional demographics and economic data is sponsored by the Region 10 League for Economic Assistance.
