Wastewater Division
The Wastewater Division operates the Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant at Society Turn, collecting and treating wastewater from the Town of Telluride and from nearby communities, including the Town of Mountain Village. In 2011, the Town installed solar panels at the Wastewater Treatment Plant that provide around 10% of the energy needs of the plant.
The Water Division
The Water Division operates three water treatment facilities, Mill Creek, Pandora, and Stillwell, in compliance with State water quality standards. The water delivery system provides service in Town and to neighboring developments. Residential rates have been restructured from a flat fee to a consumption based fee system to encourage conservation.
