Home Rule


The Town of Telluride is a home rule municipality. The Mayor and six council members are elected for four-year terms. The Mayor and Town Council members do not have offices at Town Hall.

The Town Council 2019 meeting schedule is set at the end of the year for the next calendar year. Meetings are held approximately every third Tuesday at Rebekah Hall, 113 West Columbia Avenue.

Town Council agendas and packets are posted and published on this website on the Friday preceding the meeting. Town Council meetings are also video-recorded and streamed live via Telluride TV or heard via KOTO radio.

 The Town Council Of The Town Of Telluride, Colorado Passed Ordinance #1479 An Ordinance Of The Town Council Of The Town Of Telluride, Colorado Amending The Telluride Municipal Code At Chapter 18 “Land Use Code” Within Article 7, Division 2, Alteration, Addition And Erection, To Modify Section 7-206.J.1. And Section 7-211.J.1. To Clarify Certificate Of Appropriateness Extension Criteria At Their Regular Meeting On March 19, 2019.  Ordinance #1479 Shall Become Effective Upon The Date Of Publication Of Notice Of Its Passage, And Copies Of The New Ordinance Are Available At Town Hall.
